Resume/Cover Letter Workshop There will be a resume/cover letter workshop in the Career Center conference room on Thursday, April 25 at U-Hour. Please bring a printed copy of your resumes and cover letters for review and learn how to make them professional! We will have alumnae available as well for further help. Volunteers Needed! Cal Poly is holding the YES! Program again this year, and we need more volunteers! There will be two mandatory training days on Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22 both located in Room 9-169 (aka the SWE Clubroom in the breezeway). Volunteers may choose between either of these days to learn how to do the activities or receive instructions for tour guiding. If you are not able to make it to either of these training days or you have any questions, please contact Charisse Garrido at externalvp@swecpp.org.

They are hosting a FREE lunch (to those who RSVP) with alumnae who will speak and offer advice for success to current female engineers.

Congratulations on Obtainining the Outreach Event Award At the recent 2012 National Conference, Cal Poly Pomona Society of Women Engineers has received the Outreach Event Award! Congratulations to all who helped to make this possible and hopefully we can keep it going for years to come!

If you are interested in applying for this position, please fill out the application and email it to Jennifer Akashi at membership@swecpp.org. Also, if you a returning member, please remember to renew your SWE membership by today, Sept 30, in order to not have your membership forfeited.
New Events Posted & New Scholarship Available Be sure to view our Event/Social page located in the Members drop-down menu. SWE is teaming up with the other engineering clubs to provide fun and social events for all! Also, the College of Engineering is looking to provide a few students with a $7,500 scholarship as a part of the Women in Engineering program. Look for more information on our scholarship page, also located under the Members drop-down menu.
Scholarship & Renewal Reminder Reminder that the After College Engineering Scholarship deadline is Sunday, September 30. Please refer to the Scholarship page, located under the "Members" drop-down menu. Also, please keep in mind that the deadline to renew membership to SWE is also September 30. Renew membership as soon as possible via the SWE main website.
New Scholarship Available The Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS), Inland Empire Chapter is currently accepting applications for the Susan Van Note and Helene M. Overly Scholarships. Details will be provided on the Scholarship page, located in the drop-down "Members" menu.
New Co-Op/Internships Available - MRV Optical Communications and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts MRV Optical Communications has provided three new co-op/internship positions. They are looking to fill permanent or internship positions in their Chatsworth, CA office. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is also looking for strong candidates who have a passion for industrial engineering and Disney.
