Buick Achievers Scholarship

Buick Achiever Scholarships will be awarded to students who excel in both the classroom and in the community and are pursuing degrees in engineering, design, information technology and business-related majors in the auto industry. Santa Clara Valley section of Society of Women Engineers (SWE-SCV) Scholarship

We would like to inform you the Santa Clara Valley section of Society of Women Engineers (SWE-SCV) scholarship application process is OPEN and accepting applicants. The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a non-profit organization that supports professional and collegiate female engineers through professional development and career guidance programs. The organization has a goal to encourage more females in the field of engineering and technology through scholarships and outreach programs.

Our scholarships are open to qualified female high school seniors, college and re-entry students pursuing a BS or MS in engineering. The applicants must be a permanent resident of or attend school in the South San Francisco Bay Area (see zip codes below). Scholarships will be awarded primarily on the basis of scholastic achievement, motivation and interest in engineering. Each recipient will receive a $1000 award. We award about 5 to 10 scholarships each year.

SWE National

SWE provides one application for sophomores through graduate students and one application for freshmen. Applicants complete an application and are considered for all scholarships that they are eligible for. Scholarships for the 2012-2013 academic year have been awarded. Applications will be available for the 2013-2014 academic year:

Sophomores through Graduate Students Application: December 1, 2012-February 15, 2013; Freshmen Application: March 1, 2013 - May 15, 2013. Note all deadlines are 5:00 p.m. central time. There will be no exceptions to the deadlines.

 

Future Engineers Scholarship Program

One winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship to be used toward eligible expenses for tuition, fees, books, and room and board during the 2013 calendar year. The winner will be invited to visit a local Kelly Services branch and will be presented with a check payable to his or her current institution. The winner will also receive a commemorative plaque. Entries must be received by Kelly no later than October 15, 2012.

 

After College Engineering Student Scholarship

AfterCollege.com is offering a $500 scholarship for current students pursuing a degree in a field of engineering. If you could use a little extra money for school this fall, we encourage you to apply before the September 30th deadline.

The recipient of the Engineering Student Scholarship will be contacted during the first week of October. Eligible students must be currently enrolled in an engineering bachelor’s, Master’s, or doctorate program. Please visit the scholarship page above for details.

 

Women's Transportation Seminar - Inland Empire Chapter

The WTS-IE is accepting scholarship applications for the Susan Van Note and Helene M. Overly scholarships. Eligibility and forms are provided on the link above, as well as any additiona information regarding the online application process.Keep in mind the November 9th deadline.

 

Young Leaders in Engineering Scholarship

As a part of Women in Engineering, the CalPoly College of Engineering is presenting a $7,500 scholarship to its students. The criteria is as follows:

1. Freshman to Seniors in Engineering
2. Minimum GPA of 3.0
3. Must be a full time student of Cal Poly Pomona
4. Must possess excellent leadership and communication skills
5. Must be of high scholarship merit and potential
6. Must be an active member of the Society of Women Engineers

Completed applications must be turned into the Dean's office within the College of Engineering at Building 9, Room 225. Applications should be marked "c/o Dr. Cordelia Ontiveros, Associate Dean for Academic Programs & Student Services". Previous recipients can apply. The deadline is October 19, 2012.
